Silvers are born solid colored (black, brown, or fawn) and don't begin to show silvering until 3-5 weeks of age.
At three weeks have eyes open and are fully furred. No silvering yet.
By 5 weeks old, the silvering begins to come in around the extremeties, like the muzzle, vent, and belly.
Juniors grow their silvering from the bottom-side up. The rabbit in this photo is about 3.5 months old. Silvering doesn't finish over the ears and toes until 8 months to a year, and gets heavier with age.
